Week 2 Reflection
In this week lesson I learned that is important that we
maintain ourselves informed and continue growing by educating ourselves. That it is important for us as teachers to
provide and equal opportunity for all of our students that it’s no longer proper
to use the phrase “If I touch one child’s life I did my job”, as educators we
are responsible for changing every students life. I learned that there are many topics that can
be researched into and that you can actually do it within your own campus or
classroom and use the information collected to help improve academic
success. In the interviews it was stated
over and over that it is important to use data available and use it to help you
change what needs to be changed in order to provide the students with an enhanced
education that will prepare the students to succeed academicially.

How Educational Leaders Might Use Blogs
Principals can use blogs to promote writing among the staff
and students. It can be used as a form
of journal writing to take notes and reflect on decisions made with issues at hand.
What I Learned About Action Research
The information that I learned about
action research is that is a continuous situation of focused efforts to improve
the quality of an organization and its performance. It typically is designed
and conducted by administrators and stakeholders, who identify a situation or
problem, analyze the data, formulate actions strategies to be implemented to
resolve the situation or problem, evaluate their effectiveness to improve their
own practice. Action research can be done by the administrator itself or by a
team of experienced teachers. Administrators and teachers are continuously
monitoring progress and modifying their plan of action in order to accomplish
their goal effectively while complying with all state and district guidelines. After consulting with my administrator on
several issues within our campus, we decided that the integration of technology
in the classroom is a vital issue; therefore I will conduct an action research
on how to integrate technology in the classroom with the supervision and
guidance of my site supervisor. I will
start my research by conducting a technology survey among the teachers to help
me plan strategies as to how to help them effectively on how to integrate the
technology in the classroom and make all the necessary modifications to
actively engage all teachers in this process.
