I have had experience with being taught technology. Sme good sme bad. The best ones were when I was taught then used it right away to generate something I could take to my classroom and use. You may already be doing this, but the only suggestion I can think of. Your plan looks good :)
ReplyDeleteI like the simplicity of your plan and how clean the steps are, but I'm alittle confused on which technology you plan on facilitating into the classroom. I'm in a technology rich district so when you say technology I'm thinking anything that connects to or uses a computer like ceiling projectors, avervision projectors, smartboards, smarttables, CPS eclickers, eInstruction clickers, software programs, online applications, online testing software, webcams, wireless TI calculators, ipads, tablets, etc.. I'm not sure if it would be easier or harder to pick just one. Maybe your initial survey may lead you to which technology. Hope this helps and makes it easier to reflect on part 4 of Week4's assignment. GL
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, your plan looks good overall, but you should consider conducting a survey to collect more accurate information about teacher technology knowledge. I believe that this will provide you with the necessary information to create more individualized professional development trainings. Good luck with you action research plan, hope every teacher is willing to collaborate and that it will promote student engagement and success.
