What I Learned About Action Research

The information that I learned about action research is that is a continuous situation of focused efforts to improve the quality of an organization and its performance. It typically is designed and conducted by administrators and stakeholders, who identify a situation or problem, analyze the data, formulate actions strategies to be implemented to resolve the situation or problem, evaluate their effectiveness to improve their own practice. Action research can be done by the administrator itself or by a team of experienced teachers.  Administrators and teachers are continuously monitoring progress and modifying their plan of action in order to accomplish their goal effectively while complying with all state and district guidelines.  After consulting with my administrator on several issues within our campus, we decided that the integration of technology in the classroom is a vital issue; therefore I will conduct an action research on how to integrate technology in the classroom with the supervision and guidance of my site supervisor.  I will start my research by conducting a technology survey among the teachers to help me plan strategies as to how to help them effectively on how to integrate the technology in the classroom and make all the necessary modifications to actively engage all teachers in this process.
